The Hideaway is a modern chophouse that both intrigues the palate and satiates cravings for classics through its ever-changing progressive menu. Set in the city of Long Beach that has earned a reputation for attracting creative thinkers, artists, and innovators, The Hideaway is a vision of Long Beach restaurateurs Geoff and Karna Rau who have called Long Beach home for years. In collaboration with Chef Ryan Morrison, they collectively, bring over 20 years experience to this hidden gem.
Chef Morrison designs a distinctive menu that presents a selection of dishes that pay respect to the highly cultivated ingredients and products from friends, purveyors, artisans, and craftsman who are committed to their craft. Niman Ranch provides the cuts and aged beef for The Hideaway’s signature steaks while local Farm Lot 59 inspires the vibrant seasonality of the menu. A familiar sophistication imbued with classic old Hollywood glamour, by way of the California Desert, is captured within this relaxed neighborhood den.
Under General Manager Melissa Hutchins' guidance, the Hideaway prides itself on creating a warm and inviting environment with hospitality and attention to detail that remains at the heart of every guest experience.
